In A Pickle
This month we bring you a fun and very easy to learn party game called, In A Pickle! The name works as the normal saying of being in a pickle, but also essentially tells you how to play the game.
Cucumber seeds fit inside of a pickle. A pickle fits inside of a pickle jar. That pickle jar fits up on the shelf. The shelf is inside of a grocery store. That is how you play the game. Four words are placed around with the arrows facing out. Think of it like NSEW. Everyone has their own hand of cards. You look at what you have and see if any of the words make sense to be in line with the ones on the table. This is much like the example i provided above. Also check the end of this post for some picture examples that aren’t as clear cut as the example I wrote.
Honestly that’s it. It’s not a flashy game either. Words on cards with an arrow on it. Though I will admit that I don’t think it needs any more than that. It’s an easy to learn game that can be played with anyone. Young or old, gamer or non-gamer, everyone can pick this up and learn to play in no time at all.
That’s it. Short blog post and short podcast episode as well. Doesn’t make it a bad game though. If you do check it out, make sure to find the box set that comes in a pickle container. It doesn’t change the gameplay, but I think we all know it’s necessary.
