Season 3 Wrap up!

At the end of each year we like to do an open table discussion about the games we’ve reviewed. This year we have decided to bring back the “fun factor” that we implemented during the season one wrap up. It isn’t as technical as it was the first year with a point based system, but we just decided to take the games that we reviewed and list them in order of which we find more fun.

It’s nice to see not only where Donny and I differ on these games but also where we agree. So many times with the thumbs up thumbs down rating system we agree on categories but that doesn’t really show if we actually enjoy them.

Give a listen to the actual podcast above, but from here on I’m issuing a Spoiler Warning. I’ll be providing the lists for both of us and some of the other games we picked for certain “Awards”.

Alright, first up we have the big list! Donny and I each made our own. Some of it we ended up agreeing on but a lot of it we didn’t. Below I’ll do a side-by-side comparison. At least if you’re looking on a computer. Phone it will be Donny’s list and then mine.

  1. LOTR: Journeys in Middle Earth

  2. Red Flags

  3. Disciples

  6. Heroclix

Now that the list is out of the way, we opened the rest of the subjects to all of the games we have reviewed over the past three seasons. We went with four different awards. First is the best game to introduce someone into tabletop gaming. The second is the best overall game for gamers. Third is the worst game that we have reviewed so far. Last is the game that we wish we played more often. Not going to give any context on why we picked these so again, listen to the podcast if you want to find out more.

Dave - Fluxx

Donny - Dungeon Mayhem

Top Gamer Game:

Dave and Donny Agree! Heroscape

That just about wraps it up! See what I did there? Hopefully you enjoyed this year of games with us, and I hope everyone has great holidays and a new year. We will be back next month with a new season and plenty more games!
